Description
Develop your knowledge and understanding of acquired valvular disease in ferrets. This is a one-part course that can also be taken as part of the Cardiac conditions course bundle.

This module looks at pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of acquired valvular disease in ferrets, including:
Cause – unknown.
Signs – highly variable and depend on the severity of the underlying disease.
Diagnosis – echocardiography, radiography, electrocardiography.
Treatment – not recommended as long as ferrets are asymptomatic.
Prognosis – guarded.
